The annual Blackland Income Growth Conference (BIG) is scheduled for Feb. 3-4 at the Extraco Events Center, 4601 Bosque Blvd., in Waco. The even is sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce.
The event will cover the latest issues facing agriculture in the Texas Blackland region. The sugarcane aphid, an increasingly important pest in grain sorghum, will be an important topic at this year’s event. With the continued rise in cattle prices marketing experts will offer recommendations on rebuilding herds and sales strategies.
The conference also offers sessions on a variety of commodities – beef, grain, horticulture, cotton, forage, wildlife and more. To access the final agenda and list of speakers, click here.
