The 2025 McGregor Variety Testing Site included HRW, SRW and dual-purpose trials.
The average yield for the HRW trial was 48.5 bushels per acre with an average test weight of 60.2 lb per bushel. The average protein reported for this trial was 11.4 percent. The top performing varieties were Bob Dole, Amigos and WB4418.
The average yield for the SRW trial was 64.2 bushels per acre with an average test weight of 59.0 lb per bushel. The average protein reported for this trial was 10.7 percent. The top performing varieties were Blackland 2344, Gyna-Gro 9332 and GoWheat 6000.
The top performing varieties in the dual-purpose trial were AP Roadrunner, Gallagher and GoWheat 9216H.
