Temple Grain Trial Results

The 2025 Temple Grain Trial compared 30 HRW varieties and 36 SRW varieties.

The average yield for the HRW trial was 44.4 bushels per acre with an average test weight of 58.6 lb per bushel. The average protein reported for this trial was 13.5 percent. The top performing varieties were AP Sunbird, Gallagher and High Cotton/Smith’s Gold.

The average yield for the SRW trial was 35.0 bushels per acre with an average test weight of 57.3 lb per bushel. The average protein reported for this trial was 13.3 percent. The top performing varieties were Blackland 2445 EXP, LA17006-LDH042 and LA19333-NDH31.
