The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a Wheat Scout School on Jan. 22 in Bartlett.
The event will be from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Bartlett Activities Center, 300 W. Bell St. The program fee is $10. To register, visit https://tx.ag/BartlettWheatScoutSchool.
A total of three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available for pesticide applicators — two integrated pest management and one general. There also will be certified crop adviser credits available.

- Management of Insect Pests – Tyler Mays, AgriLife Extension integrated pest management agent, Hill County.
- Management of Plant Diseases – Tom Isakeit, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension specialist and professor in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, Bryan-College Station.
- Management of Weeds – Matt Matocha, AgriLife Extension integrated pest management specialist, Stiles Farm, Thrall.
- Wheat Fertility – Brandon Garrish, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension specialist and assistant professor in the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences, Bryan-College Station.
