VEGA – The I-40 Wheat Meeting, set Feb. 12, will look at wheat diseases, the market outlook and include an auxin training. The meeting is hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Oldham County Barn, 305 Coke St., Vega. The program is set from 9-11 a.m. A $10 fee will be collected at the door, and coffee and breakfast will be provided.

Two Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units – one in integrated pest management and one laws and regulations – will be offered.
The program will include DeDe Jones, AgriLife Extension risk management specialist in Amarillo, discussing the wheat and cattle market.
Spiva will discuss wheat diseases and also conduct the auxin-specific training in accordance with new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency mandated application requirements for those using the new formulations of dicamba – Xtendimax, FeXapan and Engenia.
