Texas Climate-Smart Initiative Webinar

March 18 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Free

The Texas Wheat Producers Association is hosting a webinar to preview the Texas Climate-Smart Initiative on March 18 at 1:30 p.m. The agenda will feature Jason Vogel and Julie Howe, project leads of the Texas Climate-Smart Initiative. This virtual event is free and requires no pre-registration.

Learn more about opportunities for wheat producers in the Texas Climate-Smart Initiative spearheaded by Texas A&M AgriLife Research. The five-year, $65 million project is designed to work with Texas producers to adopt climate-smart agriculture and forestry practices, assess the benefits of these practices and develop models for voluntary, market-based climate solutions.

Program rules require that the majority of funds be paid out to producers for implementing new climate-smart approved practices. Join the TWPA as we learn more about the financial incentives available, practices applicable to wheat growing operations and program rules.

The meeting will be held via Zoom. Click the following link to join the meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6534442236?omn=81606270493. If you are unable to join over Zoom, you may call in directly using the following numbers:
