The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Bailey County will conduct a Wheat Production Meeting at 9 a.m. Aug. 20 at the AgriLife Extension office located at 118 W. Ave. C in Muleshoe.
“Wheat planting time is almost upon us, so we’ll be spending a good deal of time discussing variety selection and fertility issues,” said Curtis Preston, AgriLife Extension agent in Bailey County.
Dr. Calvin Trostle, AgriLife Extension agronomist at Lubbock, will be the main speaker. He will have information regarding what’s current in wheat production circles, a major interest to wheat producers
Individual registration is $10 due upon arrival.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units in the general category will be offered.
