Precipitation totals over the past week ranged anywhere from 0.3 inches to 8 inches, with the heaviest rainfall concentrated across areas of Central Texas. These storms were scattered, allowing some harvest crews to make progress between rain events last week. There is more rain in the forecast this week for parts of the Panhandle, Rolling Plains, Central Texas and Blacklands regions.

Farmers south of the Dallas metroplex are nearing the end of harvest, provided field conditions remain favorable for cutting. While some lower test weights have been recorded, this region is averaging around 58 pounds per bushel with protein levels around 15.6%.
