During the recent Texas Wheat Symposium, Texas Wheat Executive Vice President Emeritus Rodney Mosier was honored for his longstanding partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension and his contributions to the wheat industry. The recognition comes as Mosier prepares to retire on March 31, 2025, marking the conclusion of a 41-year career with the Texas Wheat Producers Board and Association, where his leadership has left an enduring legacy.
Mosier began his career at Texas Wheat on February 23, 1984, as the Executive Assistant to then-Executive Vice President Bill Nelson. Upon Nelson’s retirement, Mosier was promoted to Executive Vice President on April 1, 1998, a role he held with distinction for over two decades.

Mosier represented Texas Wheat globally through trade missions and advocated for key wheat issues working to secure a stronger future for Texas wheat producers.
A graduate of the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Class IV, Mosier also serves on the TALL Advisory Board. In 2012, he was recognized as a Graduate of Distinction by the West Texas A&M University Department of Agricultural Sciences.
