Before joining Texas Wheat, Heinrich was actively involved at Texas A&M serving as the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (COALS) student council president and was a member of the Department of Animal Science’s Recruiting Exceptional Prospective Students team.

She spent a semester interning with the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) in Washington, D.C. through the Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy Program. While in D.C., Heinrich said she was exposed to trending farm policy issues and also had the opportunity to work with an export trade consultant through NASDA’s tradeshow team.

Heinrich has also worked for the Texas Water Resources Institute as the student communications assistant and has contributed to several issues of the institute’s magazine, txH20. She also completed an undergraduate thesis focused on the communication process in the Texas beef supply chain.

“I am extremely excited to not only be back in the Texas panhandle, but to also work alongside the type of people I grew up around – passionate farmers and producers,” Heinrich said.
